Conta a história de um acontecimento na cidade fictícia de Antares, na região sul do Brasil. Certa vez, sete pessoas morrem e, no mesmo dia, os funcionários de um cemitério se negam a realizar os enterros, a fim de aumentarem a pressão sobre seus patrões. À noite, os sete mortos voltam e reivindicam o direito de serem enterrados com dignidade. A volta dos mortos causa uma grande confusão na cidade, e eles começam, além das reivindicações, a contar muitas coisas erradas sobre a cidade e os moradores.
