No ano 215 D.B (Depois da Bomba), o mundo se transformou num imenso deserto radioativo. A humanidade encontra-se dividida em duas facções: os sobreviventes que se refugiaram nos subterrâneos do planeta, para escapar da radiação e reconstruir a sociedade, e aqueles que resolveram voltar para a luz do sol. Quando um grupo dos tais Novos Primitivos chega a uma cidade abandonada, busca abrigo numa velha hospedaria, que há pouco tempo funcionou como laboratório científico.
